What We Do
Finding Life provides resources that speak life without any ads, political rants, or other distractions.
A discouraged heart is like a petri dish where negativity grows and inspiration dies. Fortunately, you can determine what grows in your heart and we are here to help promote encouragement. Each of us feeds spiritual food to our soul just like we feed physical food to our body. Some of us just need a little help with our diet and a guide to the good stuff...
If you’re lost, we want to guide you.
If you’re struggling, we want to encourage you.
If you’re leading others, we want to support you.
We provide a guiding light for those who are lost.
Some of us are undecided on what we believe about God and life after death. Finding Life guides those who are lost to the good stuff! (Matthew 5:14,15; Luke 11:33) We aren’t here to judge you and we don’t require that you believe what we believe before we love you. God loves you where you are, and we want to do the same by showing you the way (John 14:6).
We encourage those who are struggling.
Some of us have decided what we believe about God and life after death. We are believers (or non-believers). A common misconception among new believers is that becoming a Christian means you’ll be exempt from hardship which is just not true. (James 1:2) There will be struggles, heartache, and disappointment for believers and non-believers. Believers are called to carry each other’s burdens (Galatians 6:2) during those inevitable trials we all go through which is what we strive to do by sharing encouraging words of life.
We support those who are leading.
Some of us have answered the call to lead people to Jesus. (Matthew 4:19; Matthew 28:19; 2 Timothy 4:2; 1 Peter 3:15)
Jesus instructed his disciples to cease living for themselves and surrender completely to a life of serving others which comes with high risk of burn out. Pastors sometimes forget to take care of themselves! Even Jesus took time to withdraw to a place of solitude to rest and recharge (Mark 6:31) and we provide vocational pastors and other leaders an opportunity to do the same. Our Finding Life office is located on quiet, private lakefront property ideal for solitude and rest.
Jeanette Walls once said "If you want to be reminded of the love of the Lord, just watch the sunrise." Sunrises and sunsets from our dock at the Finding Life property on beautiful Lake Fork are among the best you'll see anywhere. Pastors who enjoy fishing can come for a free guided fishing trip from a 21’ Ranger bass boat or go out on the water alone in a smaller boat or kayak. If you enjoy fishing of any kind we've got you covered. Whether you'd benefit from a quiet spot on the dock to sit and watch the abundant wildlife or some time out on the lake on one of our boats, we have just the place for you to recharge and relax.
